BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University softball team split a doubleheader with West Chester in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division action on Saturday. The Huskies won game one 2-1 before losing game two 5-4 in 10 innings.

The game two loss snapped an 18-game winning streak for the Huskies.

West Chester had a chance to win in the bottom of the seventh, but Ashley Lynn (Riverside /Danville) got Katie Kmiencinski to line out to end the threat. Lynn gave up five hits though seven innings to pick up her 12th win of the year.

In game two, Bloomsburg got out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning courtesy of a two-run single by Lacy Mauro (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore). Trailing 3-2 in the fourth, Bloomsburg tied the game up when Tara Reed (Williamsport/Williamsport) singled in Lazorka, setting the stage for a dramatic extra inning game.

In the top of the tenth, Lazorka singled in Jill Homyak (Lehighton /Marian Catholic) to give the Huskies a one-run advantage, but West Chester's Megan Harbaugh hit a two-run single in the bottom of the tenth to win the game for the Golden Rams.
